About Septumus.com

The purpose of this website is to provide a medium for gamers who love to share the articles and guides they write with the other games who love to read about it. The plan here is to form a community of people who are interested in writing and submitting guides for publication here for everyone to read. They don’t have to be just about the games listed, those just happen to be the ones we currently have articles for.

The Septumus.com game rating system is done on a 0-10 point scale done in 0.5 point intervals. There are 5 categories worth 2 points each that we rate on:

• Gameplay - An overall impression of how well the game plays.
• Interface - How well does the game present itself? Are the menus and HUD easy to navigate and read?
• Graphics/Engine - Is it ugly and outdated or pretty and new? Are the physics awesome or lacking?
• Replayability - Are you going to play this for a month? A year? A day?
• Multiplayer (or Story if the game is single player only) - How good is the multiplayer (or story in the case of a single player)?

Currently we have three levels of registered user here at Septumus.com open to anyone who wishes to join up:

1. Contributer - A contributor is basically anyone who signs up for the website. They have the option to log in and submit articles for review through the User Control Panel. If an article they submit gets approved, it gets published with credit to them! These individuals help us become a better website without actually becoming part of the staff here and is the first step to becoming an Author.
2. Author - These folks are the bread and butter of Septumus.com. They are the people who love to write about the games they love and want to share it with all of you. The benefit of becoming an Author is being able to post new articles without having to wait for your submission to be approved.
3. Editor - Exactly like an Author but they have some moderation privileges. These people help make sure the content in the review docket doesn’t get backed up and help take care of small spelling and grammar problems. These guys help keep the site alive and readable!

We are now using a Featured Game system here! Every writer here will have the ability to have their own favorite game as a Featured Game because there should be a few games shown more prominently than others just as one game tends to stand out among the rest in any collection. Featured games will be focused on more heavily than the others because there will be one (or possibly more) of the writers here providing more articles for that game than the others. We go on the assumption that the more you play a game, the more you know about it and have to share with others!

If you are interested in submitting content to be published please sign up for the site using the Control Panel located on the sidebar. From there all you have to do is log in and click the Submit Work button to be taken to the form to do so! If you are interested in becoming a permanent addition here at Septumus.com all you have to do is submit several quality articles and display some interest through the Contact Form. Becoming part of the team as a writer will give you access for posting your own articles without having to wait for the delay of submission and approval along with having your favorite game displayed as a Featured Game (with the stipulation that you will provide articles for it).
